Purge or Cleanout Shredding Services

Purge or Cleanout Shredding Service is a one-time on-site shredding service to destroy a large volume of confidential documents that accumulated over time. This can be done once a year or every few months. This is typically the case with residential shredding jobs or in business relocation. It is also done for periodic file/record clearing. The documents are typically stored in boxes and the amount of paper is commonly measured in boxes. A letter/legal box is 15 inches x 12 inches x 10 inches in size and holds approximately 30 pounds of paper. A large letter box is 24 inches x 12 inches x 10 inches in size and holds approximately 50 pounds of paper. A large legal box is 24 inches x 15 inches x 10 inches in size and holds approximately 60 pounds of paper.

 

Specially trained SelectShred staff that undergoes drug screening and criminal background screening will arrive at your business place or home to take care of your shredding needs. The documents are transferred to one or more secure bins that are automatically hoisted into the shredding compartment of the shred truck and emptied, and your documents are securely destroyed on-site (at your location). You can witness the secure destruction of your documents through a video monitor on the truck, and you are issued a certificate of destruction noting that your documents have been securely destroyed and the shredded material will be responsibly recycled.

 

The large volume of material to be shredded is most suitably handled by the high capacity, high throughput on-site/mobile shredding equipment used by SelectShred. Residual materials from the purge (such as cardboard boxes that contained the paper) are also responsibly recycled through SelectShred, avoiding additional and unnecessary landfill disposal. This further supports our guiding principle of protecting people and preserving the environment.
